I began my tutoring career teaching French while attending college. Although it was mostly one-on-one tutoring, we held monthly group sessions to practice what was learned during the month. I find that practicing the language aids in retention. My dedication to the French language has led me to spend an entire summer studying in Angers, France. The subjects that I tutor are Reading, English, Grammar and Mechanics, Phonics, Writing, Essay Editing, College Essays, Study Skills, Organization, IB Dance HL, and IB Dance SL. However, my area of expertise is French 1, French 2, French 3, and French 4.My style of tutoring is relaxed. I create an interactive lesson plan for each individual student. I believe learning is a lifelong event, and students learn at different rates and in different ways. I teach my students in a way that helps each student apply what he or she has learned throughout their lives.I believe that giving students the tools they need will give them an advantage in life. Speaking a second language will give them opportunities that single language speakers do not have. It can give them the edge that they need in a competitive world.
